I want to get DecTalk Access 32. Can you make that version sing or do I need a demo?

hi. You don't need any demos. What you do need is to know how to program dectalk to sing by making a text file with a bunch of scripts that scr333 can help you with since I don't know them.

Actually, you can also make the demo dectalk sing, too. Same phoneems and all that programming stuff. Only two differences with the demo. the file has to be called demo.txt. Also, the demo.txt must be in the same folder as the dectalk program files. Other than that, though, making dectalk sing using the demo works just as well, I think, as paying for dectalk. And, once I get my brain to understand the phoneems, making dectalk sing should be fun. I have already gotten it to sing "all around the town" with each word being in a different pitch. lol!

Going back to the original question, you cannot use DECtalk Access 32 for singing, because there's no way of inputting directly to the synthesizer. So you either need to order a DECtalk SDK, or download the demo, which can be obtained from http://andrelouis.com/dectalk. I don't remember what the file is called exactly now, but it says something about DECtalk demo I believe.

Uh, Ride_man, Coppy the dectalk demo from my wintergreen to a thumbdrive. If you have JAWS, please coppy the scripts to where JFW is installed. I tested the scripts with JAWS 5.10.

I love singing DecTalk. Andre told me he's gonna kick it off his site cuz it's taking up too much room. Anyone wanna petition to keep it up? Lol.
